ICF (Insulated Concrete Formwork) is the category Loghouse simply doesn't sell. The walls are hollow expanded-polystyrene forms that lock together like Lego; concrete is poured into the void; the EPS stays in place as permanent insulation on both sides. You end up with a concrete building wrapped in continuous insulation — A-rated by default, airtight, structurally indestructible, and built in a fraction of the time of a traditional block-and-cavity Irish house.

What ICF gets you that a log cabin doesn't

• Continuous insulation envelope. No cold bridges where rafters meet wall plates.

Why ICF buyers don't usually consider Loghouse

The buyer-profile gap is wide. ICF buyers are usually building a forever home, willing to pay €2,000–€3,500 per m², and they're optimising for thermal envelope, acoustic isolation, and design life.
